Dear Colleagues, I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying your Feldenkrais journey wherever it is taking you.
I have some news: We are closing the SD Institute this fall after (nearly) 20 years! My life is taking new turns and I am less and less in San Diego and am ready to move on to other projects (and to be less busy). To honor the moment we are planning a celebratory event in September at the Institute. This will include some days of ATM, a celebratory bash with music and dance, and an Advanced Training focused on FI.
There are multiple ways to participate: Everyone is welcome at the party Saturday eve 9/21. There will be food, drink and dancing. Leading up to the weekend there will be an ATM® focused program of two and half days, and starting on Sunday a four day Advanced Training. You are welcome to join any or all events. Everyone is welcome to the party and there is no charge. Details about the other events are below.
Thursday and Friday (19 & 20) the course will go from 12-6 (our usual schedule) and Saturday from 10-1, (to leave time for party prep and a Regional meeting). The ATM days will include some partner work, touch while moving and some observation, all in the context of ATM. The three days will work together. Other teachers who have been part of the trainings will teach at least one ATM per day of the three. Cost for 2.5 ATM Days $285 In the event you want to come to part of it, but can't come to all, let True know (True is the new(ish) office manager) and we will let you know if there is space for that.

Saturday evening (9/21) will be the party!!! We will provide food and drink (thinking of a taco truck etc) Starts at 6PM
All are welcome whether you come to other events or not. Party will start after the Regional meeting around 6PM
********************The FI® portion of the training will start Sunday 9/22 at Noon.
The theme of the AT will be: From the Periphery to the Core
We will investigate ways to work through the feet/legs & hands/arms integrating with the central axis.
Dates: Sunday 9/22-25, Noon to 6:15 (as usual) Cost for 4 day AT $375. (This price is significantly lower than today's prices for AT's)

I know this is somewhat of a short notice and some of you won't be able to come. We've had a great run in San Diego and at the Institute and you all were part of it. You are also welcome to come just to the party. Hope to see you there!

In 2024 we began the second part of the ATM program, that being the last two years with a strong focus on FI. This program is ideal for people who had to reduce or drop their FI practice during the pandemic, those who never really got started after their training (perhaps life got in the way!), or anyone looking to expand and deepen their practice. The graduates of the ATM program are a strong group of professionals and Feldenkrais enthusiasts and we are finding it to be a rich and lively group experience overall.
There are practitioners joining in every segment and some following most of the training. Practitioners who have graduated from a professional training can join for 50% of the regular price.
